percorso 1 azzurroThe route starts from the train station along the road in front. After passing via Roma walk the path that climbs straight (Viale Pascoli) for about 450 m. Turn right on the asphalt toward the center of the village and after 30 meters turn left going up a gentle stairway.

At the top turn left into the forest path that will reach again the asphalt road. Follow it to the right in the direction of the fortress, then straight to the Church of Morticino (approximately 670 m of ascent). Under the church turn left onto a path marked by a cross and the symbol of the spiral  path of Time (Sentiero del Tempo).
Continue through the woods for approximately 300 meters and cross a small bridge access to the old gypsum quarry where a free visit is recommended to the open air Geological Museum. Here you can connect Route 1 with Route 2. Turn left and follow the signs. (1 + 2 = 6 km, easy with short but steep climbs). To complete the circuit of route  1, turn right  at the little bridge to reach the parking lot of the church. Descend to 230 m along the tarmac road ascended previously, up to a wall below the castle and turn left onto the gravel track towards the tower for about 600 m (both are open for visits at weekends). From here you have a wonderful view of the 3 hills and the valley of the Lamone.

Arrived under the tower down the stairs to the square (540 m in descent) . In this section it is not possible to use the Nordic Walking technique,  but you can use the sticks as support. At the end, on the left,  passing under the porch, you can visit the Via degli Asini. Turn right and take the road of cobblestones alongside the amphitheater and follow the spiral of the Path of Time (350 m - Sentiero del Tempo). Go down the stairs and make the outward along Viale Pascoli to the station (450 m downhill). Possibility to supply water to the station and in the village.
